Challenge
We need a creative copywriter who writes in clear pictures, and sits with the business team at the lunch table.
This highly reputable mid sized direct marketing/integrated agency, based centrally in the High Falls District of Rochester, New York, is experiencing exciting client growth. Our client urgently requires a copywriter to work across several of the most enviable and high-profile clients in the Northeast. You will be heavily focused on a client among the founding fathers of digital print technology.
Your primary account in this role is a $15 -billion plus technology and services enterprise, leading today’s and transforming tomorrow’s print and copier technology solutions. Their creative/business team will become your extended family, and you will work hand in hand producing a variety of work, writing impeccable copy for advertisement, DM, corporate literature, product literature, exhibitions, etc.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
v Collaborates with an art director to develop creative concepts and strategies to meet a variety of marketing communications challengesv Checks concepts against the Creative Work Plan to ensure they meet strategic goals and objectivesv Reviews copy with supervisorv Develops and writes rationales for presentation of all conceptsv Works with art directors to find appropriate photography and artwork; develops concepts into final copyv Hands off electronic copy files to art director or programmer for development of final productv When necessary, handles casting and production for radio and TV spotsv Works directly with interactive designers and programmers on multimedia projectsv Monitors the progress of assigned jobs through each phase of developmentv Is responsible for clear, concise, and convincing writing and for grammatical and technical accuracy

Requirements:
The Bare Minimum
o BA/BS degree in English, MarComm, Journalism, Advertising, or related field o At least 5-7 year’s technical and creative writing experience in industries such as ad copywriting, journalism, web content, e-learning, digital creative, or related work o Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Acrobat, and PowerPoint. o Basic knowledge of HTML, with the ability to code text-based content on a website a pluso Established track record of consistent delivery and meeting or exceeding marketing deadlines o Must be able to provide writing samples and portfolio of work
