We need a Sales Support Expert for a growing, global manufacturer. This is a newly created position and a great opportunity to join a profitable company supporting an experience, proactive sales team. Are you up for the challenge?
Our client is the world leader in manufacturing fire resistant safes and security chests. They offer well over 100 models, for home and commercial purposes. Their products protect documents, valuables, firearms, and data. You’ve seen these products in Wal-Mart, Kmart, Sam’s Club, Target, Home Depot, Costco, and other outlets.
Recently, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) named the company an “International 2008 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree” for two new Data and Document Security products. Their 75+ year history is filled with other honors and innovations.
Most of their manufacturing occurs in Rochester, NY. They are successful and profitable. They employ over 500 people worldwide.
Our client recently created a new Director/Manager of Sales Operations position to provide day-to-day relationship management between Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Sales. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales as his right-hand person. They need a strategic thinker who can also be process-driven and delve into the details of sales operations/ analysis.
Some of your duties will include:
• Provide sales support for sales force of approximately 20
• Represent Sales Department on cross functional teams
• Work with Marketing on new product development
• Establish and oversee pricing and program allowance processes
• Work with Manufacturing, Finance, Operations, and Product Managers
• Conduct profit analysis
• Manage and control budgeting and forecasting
• Analyze monthly variances
• Develop presentations and compile data for VP of Sales

Criteria for Response
• Bachelors Degree in Management or other related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of Sales Operations Support experience
• Direct Sales experience is preferred
• Very strong communication and presentation skills
• Effective Project Management experience
• Strong Teamwork and Organizational skills
• Experience leading formal projects involving cross-functional teams
• High level of attention to detail
• Fluency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
